I downloaded the image and looked at it under higher magnification.

The third line says:

“ST. LOUIS”

I believe the two posters read:

"MOON BROS" 

"BUGGIES"  

I cannot make out the third line.

 

Stencil at car top center is:

"Return to Chicago"

 

Can anyone else read it more clearly?

Was there a Moon Bros in Chicago?

Good close-up view of this car.

For weathering, just leave your boxcar in some standing muddy water for a few days.

The car has some advertising posters (probably the last shipper) on it, although they are not readable. I understand these posters were common around the late 1800s-early 1900s.
