The slogan “Great Burlington Route” was used extensively in CB&Q advertising between at least 1878 and 1885. The photo of Terrapin Tower, which was built in 1827 as a tourist viewing point, looks as if it was cut down from a larger photo and glued to the card.

As regards the second image with details of services, there is a reference to T D McKay as the Burlington’s Pacific Coast Passenger Agent in an 1886 CB&Q timetable.

A person named Ann Oliver sent me/BRHS two image of a post card she has. She wanted to know if they were produced by the 'Q' and are they of any value to collectors. Here is her message.

I have a small card 2 3/4" x 4" with a picture of Niagara Falls and appears to be an advertisement for the Burlington Route, indicating the tickets can be purchased at the Union Overland Ticket office in San Francisco.  I can't seem to find anything like it.  Could you tell me what it is and if it is of any value.  Thanks for your time and be well.  Ann Oliver
