In my case, I went to high school in Prairie du Chien in 1951-1955, next to the Q mainline and saw a lot of the TCZ (4 a day), NCL, and EB, Plus a lot of Milwaukee 4-6-0s and 4-6-2s on local freights on the other side of the campus.

Which leads me to a casual question. From the time it was built (1945?), until they had a second one built (1952 or 3?), what did the Q do with the single "Pattern" dome?
