Bryan,

I don’t know the date of the photo, but is it possible that this was the first 
operation of the train and half of the consist is being deadheaded to the Twin 
Cities to begin regular service from that point? The operational half would 
return as the eastbound Afternoon Zephyr on the day of the photo and the 
deadhead section would operate as the eastbound Morning Zephyr the next day.
