A quick correction to Al Kamm - our Society dates from August of 1976 as CB&Q H.S., reincorporating as BRHS in 1979.  Check with any of the 4 living of the 6 original mbrs still living such as Bill Glick or Dennis Popish or myself - other CB&QHS mbrs included the late Bernie Corbin, Dr. Richard 'Dick' Overton & Joe Douda)

Also, we did receive archives from then BN.  Learning of the imminent demise of the Crook Bro's Whse (owned by Q/BN) where much of their 'paper' and even artifacts were stored, I gained written approval of the then BN Chicago Suburban Mgr to remove such materials as we felt worthwhile.  These went to the West Chicago Historical Museum (City-owned) whose staff assisted and the Green Bay National RR Museum.  This included drawings, AFE's, dining car records, internal correspondence, personnel rosters, etc.  CB&QHS, like BRHS for years, did NOT have a repository so these two sites with accredited curators were chosen.
