Thanks for sharing the photo of 37000 – not quite as lurid as the Walthers model! 

However, getting back to 9288 and its green paint. If it was repainted green for the 1948 advertising campaign – it was built in 1946 so it would have been BCR - how many other cars were similarly repainted? Was the unit truck promotion an AAR initiative?

The link to the N scale MicroTrains model that Rupert shared clearly demonstrates that they missed the color match completely!  Sneak preview…Plans are in the works to have the 37000 as the 2019 Trainfest model, both in HO and N, but painted in the correct colors per the attached color photograph.  As you may know, the Burlington will be the featured railroad at this year‘s Trainfest and the BRHS will be there in full force!
