As additional info. This meant these cars were always on C&S and not subject to AAR interchange mechanical rules for car interchanged between carriers which would have outlawed those trucks.
Even to this day carriers can use whatever cars they want when they operate on only their tracks. Age and mechanical rules don't apply.

Hi, One reason it still has Andrews style trucks at that late date is a lot of the two & three bay hoppers were used in sugar beet service as per Bulletin #32.
