Type "put the hogger in the waycar" into Google and the fist thing that comes up is a snippet of a book that quotes the original verses which were in a 1941 Railroad Magazine.

This may be too broad a subject for this forum, but I'm begging forgiveness for this request.

I'm sure that I have the issue of the old RR magazine where I saw this poem, but I just can't think about going though my collection..I have several hundred..maybe a thousand issues which MIGHT  contain that poem.

Anybody on here recall and perhaps give me  hint as to where it was.  I may have put it in one of my diatribes in years past, but I thought i would start here.
