I've been in and out of reading the CB&Q postings for awhile, but has anyone uncovered if the small lake outside of Mendota, IL was built for the CB&Q or the IC or Milw Road. The Q seemed to have the largest operations there. Was is for Q water? Born and raised in Brookfield, we used to go there often to fish and swim as kids in the 50's and 60's.
