Thread-topic: [CBQ] Re: Track arrangement in Prairie du Chien circa 1967

Known - south leg of wye is unchanged

Unknown - removal of north leg and modification of tail track to become the siding to the Home "lumber yard".

This has become an interesting comparison of the vagarities of a 50 plus year memory and maps that may or may not have been completely accurate.  The real question is was the wye all in place or if not, when was one leg or the other pulled out or relaid.  My recollection is that both legs were there into the early sixties, but that may have been based on crossing only a remnant still in the pavement of WI 35.  I also do not remember if there was a siding to the powerhouse for Campion Academy for coal delivery or any track servicing the small industry that  sat across the street to the south of the depot.  It may have been served by cars spotted on the house track.
