It's amazing I still remember it 40 years later. I was in meteorology, but it was an emphasis major in the geography department. So we also had to take some of the geography major classes to complete our degree. I appreciate it more now than I did then!

I am glad you mentioned the Crystal's Central Place Theorem since when it is combined with the hierarchy of the location of market functions helps explain why some towns made it and others didn't survive. It is fun to be able to apply economic geography to the development of central places.
