Randy,
Is the type of bridge you are talking about a automobile/foot traffic overpass type of bridge ? I grew up in York Neb playing over around and under such a type of bridge which the Lincoln/Alliance main line along with a very old passing siding ran under.. Old rail used as support uprights and very heavy timbers. It was literally in my back yard. The Q took it down in 67/68 while I was in RVN. The article in Mainline Modeler was about a generic thru truss I think. Dad took pictures of it coming down, but unfortunately I can't locate them. Wish I could remember the bridge number. It also was erected by the BMR in Neb.

Thank you for the reply, Noel, and the research.  Was it specifically a Q bridge?  I have bridge diagrams from several different railroads, but not seen a Q one.  Strictly the bridge was built by the Burlington & Missouri River Railroad in Nebraska and just inherited by the Q...  I don't actually know the build date, but "sister" Bridge 66.66 builders' plates show 1894.

Randy
