Here's more detailed info on the dates and actual engine # (909) that the CBQ 
tested the J center cabs. 

The other engine that was test was this one, 
The 5579 was most likely EMDX 5579, their SD24 demonstrator (EMD order #5579, 
EMD serial #24701, blt 7/58) which was later sold to the UP as their 448.
So if this was the engine it would make sense. The Q bought SD24s and the Fox 
River Branch is where they held out the longest before eventually being 
retired. Pretty interesting find.
