Sorry but the latest volume of the Locomotive Engineers Journal available on line at Hathi Trust is 1922, a victim of the perennial copyright issue.

There are some rare CB&Q photos in the Journals so I tried contacting the BLE last year with a view to getting better copies but didn’t receive a reply. If someone on the list has a contact at the BLE headquarters, I can provide details of the photos I found. Alternatively, if someone lives in Cleveland, Ohio, perhaps a personal visit to the archives might be possible.

In the May 1930 issue of Locomotive Engineers Journal, there is an article titled "Reminder of Olden Days". With the article is a photo of 1506  in the St. Joseph yard with 3 young ladies all dressed up (college gals)  and 1506 was "spick and span".
