The picture of 6300 is not at Centralia. The coal chute and sanding tower at Centralia were not arranged like that and by 1938, the M-3's were long gone from the coal field. From: "'John D. It is a locomotive coal chute, of a type that the Q had many! The car is loaded with coal. Here is a photo I have showing CB&Q gondola 80195 with a load of sugar beets taken in Scottsbluff, NE. The caption reads CB&Q RR #1333, however if you look at the engine it does not show that number. It looks like it says Y&R on the engine and Yale & ? on the tender. Anyone have any thoughts on history of this engine? The handcar is lettered CB&Q. You can see three men adding water to the tender.
