If you Google "national dump stock
car " you'll get a hit for Railway Age, volume 40, that has drawings of a
National dumping stock car.

It’s interesting that you should mention stock cars in relation to my query as
the steel centre sills of the National dump cars built in 1914 were supposed to
have been used to build the SM-18 stock cars. Unfortunately, there is no
apparent trace of these particular dump cars.

Some
stock cars of the period were described as dump cars (or dumping cars) so
those may be the cars Rupert is asking about.

I have
a 1917 ORER I downloaded and a 1920 orer that I hand copied. In both 3001 -
3200 are listed as stock cars.
The
only thing that could be a dump car are the ballast cars
10001-10144
35'11" 134 each
I’m trying to find out about 200 National dump cars that the
FW&D leased from CB&Q some time between 1917 and about 1926, numbered
FW&D 3001-3200. If anyone has any knowledge of these cars or has a
ORER between those dates, can you assist, please.
Thanks
