I suspect that almost all members of this group are interested in these
presentations of early equipment even if their modelling or research eras are
much later, and are very grateful for the time and effort that you and other
members obviously devote in order to present them to us. As long as it is
railway-related in general and Burlington in particular, it will be of
interest.
The reality is that readers of books, magazines, newspapers, etc. and viewers
of TV will seldom respond to what has been read or seen unless it contradicts
their own understanding or beliefs, or leaves questions unanswered. With a
subject such as early locomotives, where few of us have any actual knowledge, your
“presentations” are so complete that they leave little room for a
response other than “Thank you” and “can we have more”.
Just because we don’t react publicly, please don’t stop making
these presentations.
