There is another photo from the same collection on Ebay Item #221574924521 that has what appears to be the same roof sign in the back ground.

I agree with you. The name on the building is not Case. The lower word appears to be "SASH" The sign behind the pole which is seen in reverse, may not be Carmichael. I tried to wok on the name on the building just in front of the locomotive, but had no luck. Maybe the original print is sharper. I also agree with Nolen Null that the second photo on E-Bay was probably taken at the same time and place.

plant was downtown near the river and the RR.
