Decades ago, I photographed most of the remaining CB&Q depots from Aurora,IL west to Denver. Red Oak was one of my favorites. I'm glad it is preserved! Not only did the Carter campaign/ presidency save the old SAL depot in Plains,GA,  but the IC freight depot in Madison,WI, after closing by ICG, became regional headquarters for the Carter campaign. It even had signs on it displaying "Plains North".
