Decades ago, I photographed most of the remaining CB&Q depots from Aurora,IL west to Denver. Red Oak was one of my favorites. I'm glad it is preserved! Not only did the Carter campaign/ presidency save the old SAL depot in Plains,GA, but the IC freight depot in Madison,WI, after closing by ICG, became regional headquarters for the Carter campaign.
