Hello Randy, Leo, and All -
Starting in the mid-'70s I worked way freights/switch engines at Rockford, 
Rochelle, and Sterling on
the Chicago & North Western and we frequently 'swapped spit' (worked side by 
side) with BN jobs.
Rockford and Rochelle had Geeps, but Sterling/Rock Falls often had an NW type 
switcher.

Isn't that "UP" the short-line based in Omaha?                 PAW
