Remember how narrow that bridge was? .....and how the timber beams rattled as you drove over the bridge? . I was always torn between wanting to keep my eyes on the road traffic to avoid an accident, and wanting to watch the railroad cars drifting down from the hump. When ever we went to Lincoln from York to see my moms Aunt and Uncle this was usually the first stop for me and dad. Mom and sis learned to just put up with it. As a kid in the 1960's I always bugged my parents to stop the car there if we went that way on a Sunday afternoon drive.
