The guy has the "officials uniform". I remember whenever you saw a man in a felt hat, white shirt, tie and suit, it was an official. In cold weather, they always wore an overcoat. At wrecks, we used to call them "the overcoat brigade". In my part of the country, they slacked up a bit in really hot weather and didn't wear a suit coats and wore straw hats. Just a little "side comment" which is worth exactly what it cost.

-----Original Message----- Here is a neat shot of the Q's 4600. A semi-streamlined car built for use on the North Coast Limited as the Q's contribution before the NCL was streamlined in 1947. This shows it after it received the ribbon-style lettering that replaced the Q's Railroad Roman lettering. Though, semi-streamlined, it is pretty ungainly looking!
