I recently purchased one of the Bowser kits that Dave is using as the basis for his custom painted kits. To my disappointment, although numbered 181467 as an HC-1A, it is painted black, not mineral red. Per BB#20, some of the HC-1Bs were painted in the color scheme used by Bowser, but not any HC-1As. (Bowser has several other road numbers as I recall, but I don't know if they are also misnumbered for the car's proper paint scheme). Per his email below, Dave is correctly painting his kits in mineral red. Guess I will see if I can easily erase and replace a digit on my car and change the number from 181467 to 181457 to be an HC-1B. Hopefully I have some white number decals that match the size and font. Anyone else already do this and can suggest a decal set that has numbers that match the Bowser road numbers?
