And in this era of very little if any bridge maintenance you can still find those type of bridges around the country. There were many bridges in the Ft. Worth area with long gone fallen flags. I went under one in Eastern South Carolina early in the month and almost drove off the road when I saw the name on the bridge. It almost looks like it had been repainted recently

What is unique is that one view clearly show the very old (early 50's & earlier) FW&DC lettering (before the "C" was dropped from the corporate name) and another view shows, due to numerous repaintings, 3 different BR heralds atop another old FW&DC name.
SO - if when modeling you goof up the decals on an overpass, here's a BR prototype. Tks Barry! (who now will become a focused BR fan!) Gerald Edgar __._,_.___
