The only regular container move that the Q handled in that time frame I can remember was the pineapple (and other items) from Hawaii in Matson Steamship boxes. I think they were 20ft long. As a modeler of the 'Q' in the late sixties, I, too have been interested in container ops during that era. Unfortunately, at this point I have done no real research into it yet so have nothing of any worth to share with you or the list at this point. However, the info I'd like to start with for my needs is what companies actually had containers during that era, and what models and or decals exist currently for them.
