<*>[Attachment(s) from archie hayden included below] Group, I was looking for a photo of this depot when I found this nice shot of a bunch of Gandys at Milepost 58 on the K Line about 1 and 1/2 miles south of Foley. Does anyone know what they are doing? This does not appear to be a barricaded crossing. Also note the Sec 28 on the milepost. If you were to look at the other side of the post it would say Sec 27. Back in the day sections were traditionally 6 miles in length. Each section had their own Section gang. These old posts were long gone when I started in 1966 except for the post at MP 214 at Spring Grove. On the side closest to Burlington it read Sec 1 and Sec 2 on the other side. When they put in new mileposts several years ago this post was abandoned and ended up in my backyard. Will try to picture it for you ASAP. Again, What are they building?
