9769 was sold to Southern Industrial RR,
Centreville Iowa in February 1966, then it went to Keweenaw Central, and then to
Sperry Rail Service in June 1971 where it was apparently used as for
spares - Sperry owned quite a few gas electrics.
In 1953, it had single end control only, and there
is a photo in Burlington In Transition taken in November 1960 with double end
controls. I have a note that the extra controls were fitted about 1957 (but no
idea where the note came from!)

Richard...I noticed in some publications
that the 9769 was double ended and I don't know if it was when I worked it or
not...I just know that our engineer never ran it from the rear end..We always
backed up from Clay Center to Sutton.
The car later went to the Southern Iowa railroad at Centerville, IA and,
apparently scrapped from there.
