You are correct, Nifa was on the duplexes for many years but disappeared before the merger. I do have a book w/Nifa on them. The BRHS members will see them in an upcoming article

If memory serves me correctly, on CB&Q (and into the BN era), the cash fare receipts used in suburban service had a punch position for "NIFA." It was not until years later (early 2000s) that I learned what "NIFA" meant (Northern Illinois Fair Association -- i.e.: Aurora Downs Racetrack).

Of course, now forty years later, I cannot find my collection of BN cash fare reciepts. Am I remembering this incorrectly?
