"Catfish" !!! Ah yes, drop a quarter in a newspaper vending machine, look furtively in all directions and take 2 or 3 papers and walk away smilin' ! The Oregon Turn was an interesting job since, as mentioned, is was a "one way" job. Work west and go like crazy east. You could NEVER go TOO fast for for Cond. Hummiston !!!! I had 'er goin' pretty good approaching Big Rock one day and when I looked back at the train Hummy was on the bottom step of the 3007 rider coach givin' a great big HIGHBALL !! I NEVER made as interesting a trip on that job as the day we had 5632 for the engine though. THAT was one for the books !! Nobody got killed, we did all the work and had a great chicken dinner at Oregon
