There is a book entitled "Night Trains"...came out several years ago..It tells you everything you would ever want to know about the operation of the Pullman Company and its equipment on the various railroads.

Presumably there was a contract between Pullman and the railroad to provide certain types of equipment for a specified period, with conditions relating to maintenance, etc. Would the equipment be collected from Pullman or did Pullman arrange delivery to the road? Would Pullman inspect the equipment periodically to ensure it was being maintained correctly? Rupert Gamlen Auckland NZ
