The 35 and the mail car are currently housed at the Patee House Museum at St. Joe MO. The complete history of this engine is described in a recent Burlington Bulletin..Number escapes me now..featuring an article entitled MODERN AMERICANS...This issue outlines the history and activites of The 35 now at St. Joe and CB&Q 440 whose last service was on the Rock Port Langdon and Northern and who played a staring role in the Q's 90 year celebration in1940.

The photo is in a book by Ken and Lisa Marks "Hannibal Missouri a Brief History" and is a reprint of an original from the Hannibal Free Public Library. There is an enitre section devoted to the H&StJoe. It also discusses the Civil War era in this section. Can anyone in the group tell me any information concerning this photo? I am particularly interested in the origin of #35 and it's paint scheme. Do you know if there are blueprints/drawings for her? I believe the mail car's colors are Q-yellow/tan and the striping is dark brown. Is that correct as well?
