John and All - I'm not sure what the "new kids" on the railroad do now - maybe they just trust Uncle Pete.
BRCF was the first bill I paid each month. There were times when it was BRCF that kept my seven kids fed.
On the Cheap & NoWages we called it 'can insurance'. And when I pulled the pin they sent me a nice check. PAW

A new landmark for railroad workers

The B&O Railroad Museum celebrated the opening of the Luther G. Smith Plaza, named for the founder of the Brotherhood's Relief & Compensation Fund.

The Brotherhood's Relief & Compensation Fund is better known as "fire insurance". Have a railroader explain it to you!
