Only problem is Pete get a Yard Master to let you meet or store a train (by Definition) in his yard and you would never hear the end of it.  Let alone say something when he did not get the freight out on the schedule.

It was not on a "siding". It was on a yard track with the elevator. A siding is a track where trains can meet or be passed. A side track or spur is not the same thing as a siding. The came from Metropolis and the cement came from Missoui.

This would be something interesting to model. So the concrete plant used the same siding as the grain elevator? That must have been some interesting switching. I know the mines and railroad used sand, wonder if it all came from same place? Did the sand and cement come in from the north or the south?
Thanks again, I will try to get some pictures posted of the track I have laid out so far.
