It was on a yard track with the elevator. A siding is a track where trains can meet or be passed. A side track or spur is not the same thing as a siding. The came from Metropolis and the cement came from Missoui.

So the concrete plant used the same siding as the grain elevator? That must have been some interesting switching. I know the mines and railroad used sand, wonder if it all came from same place?
