Doug,

The "alley Job" worked Middle Ave which was the Alley between River and Lake but it was a 3 man crew based at Eola.

The Aurora job was based at Aurora rdhse. and puttered around the shops, the store house, and industries on the former CA&E,Faskur, etc.

That the "Alley" on the west side north of River St? I'm not sure either. I think I only worked it one time and there was maybe one car load (Beacon?). It was abolished in 70's, wasn't it? I do remember there was a 2-man yard job of some kind. Doug

Doug,

My understandingmemory from past reading of the files is that the companys logic was we took off a 2 man motor car so a 2 frt man frt job on a lightly travelled branch w/o any other movements and no mainline movements beyond town should not be a problem for 2 men.

Now here's a question for you and some of the others Q/BN vets that has come to mind. Was the day Aurora switch job a two man crew ? I seem to remember that but it's getting a bit hazy. If so I'm sure the discussion was about how little the job had to do in the shops and local industry.
