Thanks Mr Mitchell. Did you you get the pictures to open?
For whatever reason, I cannot for the life of me visualize the grain elevator
in Sesser. But then I kind of, sort of remember seeing it from the old high
school. Or was that part of the concrete plant? I do remember a GN boxcar with
the big goat on it sitting there on the siding for what I thought was forever,
if I looked down the street from the high school towards the tracks.
I lived out in the country and when we "went to town" it meant Sesser.
Grain on our farm was trucked out to Waltonville elevator, and I would love to
build that little piece of the railroad too.
