Yes Sir, but the Perry Short line Railroad which was narrow gauge and once owned by Mister PT Barnum did the chicken hauling to New London. Now wasn't the Hannibal and St. Louis once narrow gauge? I think it was because the they went to standard gauge, and the Perry Short Line could not comply at New London, so that's why it went under.. At least that's the story I'm told. I grew up 9 miles from Center and 8 miles from Perry..
