Bill:  Thanks very much for the information on Forker.  This is very helpful.

As time permits, do you know when the diamond at Laclede was removed (I know it was gone by 1951, but it may have been earlier), and if the Wabash crossing at Sumner was signaled and interlocked before the new/rebuilt line had CTC installed?

Subject: Re: [CBQ] Question about stations of Forker and Cotter on Needles to Maxwell line

Glen,

In the April 9, 1944 Centerville Division Employee Timetable, Forker is
shown 82.4 miles from Sedan, 186.5 miles from Burlington and 34.1 miles
from Carrollton. The timetable notes that the switch for the Forker stub
track was on the north end with a 8 car capacity. Cotter is not listed.

I think name of Cotter was created for the westerly junction in 1951, and the name did not exist prior to then. Forker may have existed before, however. It lasted until all remnants of the section between Laclede and Forker were taken up.
