ends, if that (initially). If you look at Bill Glick's book, there
are some drawings of cars. Just be careful, as there are, as in all
such publications, some issues (the sort of thing that enters into any
publication or e-mail or laundry list).
The best source for the configurations - a type of Rosetta Stone - are
the Pullman List of cars and Descriptive List of Cars - some of which
have been reprinted by Wayner. This provides a
cross reference between Plan, Diagram and Configuration.
(i.e. 2585 10-1-2).
The best source for names and ownership and such is Tom Madden's database
(The Pullman Project). There is, in development, a
publication that will be, in essence, a searchable combination of what is
available in Wayner & Kratville & Barger (corrected) with
builders photos, floor plans and side elevations (where available - as
opposed to the paste-ups in some books) and will have, as one appendix,
the cross reference as above. In addition, graphical explanations
as to accommodations (the difference between a compartment and a drawing
room, for example). A while in coming though.
