Hello, I believe the tape you refer to was originally sold by the late Dave Hanks at various swapmeets. The original video was taken with a super 8 camera. I was part of a group of Burlington fans who never missed an excursion...either on it or chasing it. There were 3 of us in the group. Dave did the conversion and narration, the footage was a mix from several of us. I bought my version of it at a Wheaton, Ilinois train show in the late '80's or early '90's after not having seen Dave for many years. I still have that old tape.....actually I viewed it only a couple of weeks ago. Many great memories there. Dave is gone, and the other fellow I haven't seen since the 1970's. I loaned my tape to a fellow at IRM and I know thaty several copies were made from mine. My copy seems to work OK. I don't know how many original copies of this tape were made by Dave, but mine is an origin al. If you are in the Norther Illinois area, I would be glad to let you copy mine . J.L. It runs about 20 minutes and includes the 4960 in an excursion to Ottawa, IL., hauling a circus train in WI., and an excursion to Denrock, IL. I have no idea who I bought it from. No idea who filmed it. No idea who produced the VHS. The copy I have has never played well for me. It has always tracked poorly with horizontal lines through the images, and the color and sound has always been marginal. Is anyone familiar with this product? Is mine a bad copy? Has it ever been produced as a DVD? If so, where might I get a copy? Thanks in advance, Larry Owen
