Steve, We called that bottom section of most Q depots shiplap in our area.

The siding below the windows is Drop Siding a flat surface with a curve cut out the top.  The bottom of the board has a groove to cover the top of the curve of the board below it.
Above the windows is clap board.  Some was plain 4 to 6 in boards nailed with an overhang while others was beveled from top to bottom with about 1/4 in at the top while 3/4 at the bottom
I think Evergreen makes both styles
If it would stop raining they could finish the siding on my new train room

It looks as if the front was a combination of cinder block and brick and the sides were cinder block and siding.  Anyone know for sure?  Any details on the station?  You have to love the old style depot sign.  It looks as though they never updated it to the black on a white background like the suburban stations received.
