Commercial Post - The Burlington Waycars Update
Last Minute Special at Old Pricing Before Retail Price Increase
Greetings:
The Burlington Waycars is just about done and is on schedule to be sent to the
printer on 8/26. Delivery to us is expected in late October. It will take us
about one week to ship the outstanding orders. The book is 750+ pages.
As I have alluded to in past posts, we are running the last minute special
pricing of $85.00 plus $12.50 shipping for all orders postmarked on or before
September 3rd. Signed, limited editions of the book including the poster are
$95.00 plus $15.00 postage.
For all orders postmarked after September 3rd the new retail price of $100 plus
$12.50 Domestic Priority Mail shipping with insurance will be in effect.
Checks, money orders and PayPal accepted. We will gladly accept a layaway on
your order and work with you.
The larger-than-planned page count, heavier paper and added drawings have all
contributed to this increase. I'm sure this price increase will set the critics
into a tizz. I have agonized over cutting pages or raising the price. Since
there is little or no chance anyone else is going to print a waycar book the
decision was made to do it in one volume.
Due to the many requests for large drawings, we are carefully considering
printing a 17" wide x 11" high softbound, spiral-bound, book of large waycar
drawings for the modelers. All of these drawings will be in the Waycars book
albeit in smaller form. We estimate this book would be either 80 or 96, offset
printed pages with a retail of less than $40.00. If you are interested please
drop me an email. We have no plans to release the drawings on a CD.
Finally, we are also considering having 100 copies or less of the book done as
a softbound book for the modelers' reference. The book will be Smyth sewn and
glued for durability. It will not fall apart like most of the glued bound books
we have all been subjected to. Drop me a note if you are seriously interested
in this extra edition. I don't have price yet but it will be less than the
hardbound version.
After the book is shipped to the printer I will be working on updates to the
www.MilePost206.com website.
Thank you for all your support and continued patience. It will be well rewarded.
Regards,
Randy Danniel
