Thanks for the drawing and the reminder about Evergreen Novelty siding. Drop lap siding is also referred to as Dutch lap, at least that's what the contractor that did my house called it. Drop lap siding was also used for the wainscot on the exterior of some depots, like the Hillsboro, IA depot on the ground of Old Thrasher's Reunion in Mt. Pleasant, IA. I modeled this depot using Evergreen novelty with 8 in. board spacing.
