I've recently come across a 1959 Official Guide that lists Mixed Train
Service, Consult Agent for Details on the line. Anyone have some later
Guides or ETTs to indicate how long this lasted?

Joe about 10:00am got to Wymore around noon. This was a conventional
train with an E unit and 4-5 heavyweight cars...41-90 was the Pioneer
Zephyr which operated Lincoln-St. Joe via Tecumseh leaving Lincoln
12:15am St. Joe 4:00am or so...Left St. Joe around noon arriving Wymore
about 2:00pm and Lincoln around 3:30pm so his would have been about
right for after school transportation from Beatrice to Hoag.

consititutes one of the main sources of business for the
Lincoln-Beatrice local. This train was 93-94 during my time..Out of
Lincoln around 4:00am with a big setout for Crete and Wymore mid morning
to noon. CF about 8:00pm at Wymore with pickups at Hoag and Beatrice and
an all night switching session at Crete.
