Indeed for MANY years they were, cast @ Aurora and specs have been repro'ed 
from official Q drwg book in an "extra" mailed with a Zephyr a couple yrs ago.  
I have one of the original MoW trackside print books as well and as I recall 
the concrete Whistle, Mile, Derail, etc posts date at least to the 20's.  Will 
have to look at some pre-WWI postcards & photos to see what the material/design 
was in earlier days.
