My Charger pulls fine. What it doesn't pull are the lead sled trucks Hallmark
put under the 3 car set. The blunt axles and incorrect sideframes are better
repalced with the old bluebox Athearn streamline trucks. I did add wheel
wipers to the negative side of the power truck. It works fine on code 70 rail
and code 83 handlaid Fastraxx switches. It currently pulls the modified
Rivarossi/Walthers RPO and a brass SSS car.

  Duncan,

It was eons ago I had opened it up, but I think it might have only had two of
the axles powered. I think it may not have been able to pull the three car set
- not too far off from the prototype!

  Thanks Rich!
I'd just be pulling an RPO and coach but I'll plan on reworking the innards
if I buy it.

  Duncan,

Be ready to repower it if you want to pull anything. It just had one powered
front truck and was really a weak runner.

Interested in any opinions people may have about Hallmark's model of Silver
Charger (or Hallmarks generally). Looking at one for my early sixties K-line
ops.
  Thanks.
