Fear not Charlie. Morning Sun will have a book on the railroad in question
coming soon. The author of the Morning Sun book has been very active on that
railroad's yahoo group and promises it will be better. As for the sub-par
book,
that author did work for the railroad for a brief period and I, as a relative
youngster, did appreciate the book as I was not around to see and photograph
the
line myself. However, I do agree that it could have been much better.

Denny hits it right on the head..... if a book stinks, you can choose not to
buy it. But it may prevent another, carefully researched and well made book
from coming to market.
This happened just recently with another Chicago area railroad that has had
nothing published on it until recently.... and IMHO the book is near to being a
hack job from an author that doesn't know the railroad (although it isn't as
bad
as others that he has cranked out books for). As the only book on the subject
it is not without any merit as it has some photos that have never been
published
before... but it could have been and should have been so much better.....and
probably will prevent a better book from being published because it knocked off
the casual interest market for that road.
