Larry, On the Q there was not an east end job. There was a job affectionately called the east end wayfreight. It ran from Eola to Congress Park and return. Back in the day of coal yards and Kroehlers it was a big OT job. See an old BRHS calendar for the east end crew sitting in front of their engine waiting to go west out of Kroehlers. The track they are on is a remnant of the short lived 4th main. As time went on and the coal business went away the East became a "quit" job. Depending on the decades your studying there were either one or two "Congos" that operated between Clyde 'D' Yard and Congress Park. These jobs primary purpose was to bring the IHB transfers into Clyde from Congress Park. This job received sizeable arbs for going west of Stone Ave,but that's a seperate story. The BNSF has a east end job that operates fom Eola to Clearing yard on the belt,as I understand, and return. It's main purpose is to bring the "dead frt" to Eola.
