Confirming 4 B&W/B&NW passes went into the mail this morning (oldest is 1885 or
"86, I forget which & newest is the last issue: 1901) You can return them with
the pocket calendars; just let me know date mailed so I know when to look for
them.

Good luck with the n.g. group presentation (remember, "luck is where
preparation meets opportunity" - it appears you are indeed "prepared"!)

Have a great w/e! Bob Stanage is meeting me tomorrow in Des Moines to attend
the State Fair. Still working on him to do an updated CB&Q china clinic as the
one he did 20 yrs ago was tremendous. He has examples of EVERY Burlington
china pattern.

Subject: [CBQ] RE: New Release - CB&Q HC-1 Sand Hoppers

Hi all,

To save a lot of emails, it has been brought to my attention that in my
email I have mistakenly substituted HC-1 with PS-1 and then later PS-2. I?m
offering an apology for my mistake and a correction.

They are actually the ACF-type, 2-Bay 1958 cuft hoppers the Q classed HC-1.
The PS-2's production started about 15-20 years after the ACF design was
being produced and almost always came with round hatches - the ACF cars and
other copies/clones almost always used square hatches. There are also
significant structural differences between an ACF car and a PS-2 short
hopper. The cars I?m offering are ACF clones that were built by the Q forces
in their Havelock Shops. Beside the railroad car shop clones, Greenville and
Magor built their own clones for railroad customers.

Subject: New Release - CB&Q PS-1 Sand Hoppers

Hi All,

Q Connection is pleased to announce a special run of CB&Q (and 1 C&S)
70-ton, PS-2, 2-bay sand hopper kits. Included in our custom-decorated
Bowser kits, are Bowser?s new metal wheelsets, extra Bowser weights to bring
these hoppers up to the NMRA recommended weight and Kadee® No. 158 Whisker®
couplers. The value-added kits sell for only $17.95 each. There are three
paint schemes available with multiple road numbers. Many of these cars ran
well into the 70?s.

The first, the 1958 paint scheme, has two numbers 181550 and 181565 with
mineral red bodies with a black roof; white 1958 lettering with Silica Sand
Wedron/Ottawa return lettering and the small, body painted, white only
Burlington Route herald

The second, also the paint scheme, is the C&S car number 19077 with mineral
red body and roof without the Silica Sand lettering.

The third, the 1961 paint scheme, has three numbers 182255, 182271 and
182303 with the Q?s light hopper gray body and roof; red lettering and the
small, body painted, 3-color Burlington Route herald.

Photos of the kits and ordering instructions may be found on our web site,
www.QConnection.biz <http://www.qconnection.biz/> .

This is a very limited run (70 cars of each number) and while these cars are
currently in stock, they may sell out at any time, so get your order in
early. As soon as we process your order, it will be shipped to you via USPS
Priority Mail. We accept Checks or Money orders - email or call for PayPal
instructions.

Thanks!
